ADOPT A HIGHWAY

As part of our chapter's overall efforts to serve our community, we have now become an official sponsor of the Adopt A Highway program. The program, run by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) allows groups such as ours to "adopt" a specific portion of a local road or highway. Our obligation is to go out four times a year and clean up litter and other eyesores along the sides of the road.

Our adopted road is the East-bound stretch of Rt 33 between Amicus Rd (Rt 633) and the intersection at Rt 29. If you would like more information on how to get involved in our next cleanup, keep an eye on our calendar or send us an email.
