2010 Stanardsville July 4th Parade

We have now been part of the Stanardsville July Fourth Parade for five years and each year we get a little bigger and little more creative with our float. This year we took the "framed house" we built for last year's Parade of Lights and redecorated it for July Fourth. The weather was just beautiful and lots of well-wishers filled the streets of Stanardsville to wave as we drove past. We even had a special guest, Miss Greene County 2010, ride along with us. And, for the second time in five years, we won the first place prize for best float. We'd like to thank the Greene County Historical Society for the award, the card and the $25 prize money that accompanied it. Now, what can we do for 2011 to top this?
